D1 Training and GTR: For Friends, Family, and Members!

D1 Training, founded by Will Bartholomew after his NFL career-ending injury, has grown into a successful training program with 27 locations. Will, who played with Peyton Manning at the University of Tennessee, found it challenging to find a place to train at the elite level he was accustomed to. This led to the creation of D1 Training, which offers a full-body training approach to optimize human performance.

After 18 years, D1 Training continues to thrive, with locations providing a program designed to push individuals to their full potential.

Implementing a Structured Referral Program

I spoke with Chris Witzgall, the general manager and co-owner of the new D1 Training Cincinnati location. They opened their doors on June 15th and knew from the start the importance of a structured referral program. Chris explains, “My business partner owned his own business for many years and knew how challenging it is to track and reward referrals, to know who is speaking on your behalf.”

Before officially opening, D1 Training began using the referral program with family and friends. Now, they’ve expanded it to all D1 Training members. Since implementing the program, D1 Training Cincinnati has seen fantastic results. In less than a month, they already have 22 advocates and 92 referrals, averaging 4.18 referrals per advocate. Chris mentions, “The feedback we’ve gotten from everybody is that it’s really simple to use. They import their contacts from their phone and are able to send out a referral right from there. It’s been very easy for advocates to be able to pull up into how to use it.”
